Colonel Edward M. Daniels
(1893-1991)
Colonel Ed Daniels was commissioned in 1915 into the Cavalry. He served in France during WWI where he was wounded and receieved the purple heart. He also served in WWII where he was wounded again and received his second purple heart. He transferred to the Quartermaster Corps in the 1930's. In 1941 he became Chief of Remount. He went overseas in December 1944 and was G-1 of the 5th Army. He retired from the military in September 1947.
